What is the difference between regular and Ujjwala gas
connection?
Under Ujjwala 2.0, migrant workers can avail free cooking gas
connections on the basis of self-declaration without the need for documents
such as proof of address. Ujjwala 2.0 aims to provide deposit-free LPG
connections to low-income households, which could not be covered under the
first phase of PMUY.
According to the information received, till now the
government has given 9 crore 60 lakh gas connections and gas connections are
still being given, while the women who take gas connections through Pradhan
Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will also get many types of benefits in the future. Such
as the benefit of subsidy and many other benefits.
